The Berlin wall fell 25 years ago! It was almost like I was born in September '89 and Berlin was like "You know, Suszie might want to come and study here one day, we should probably make it a bit more hospitable for her" and two months later they tore down that wall! .... Or perhaps it had nothing to do with me ...
I have to be honest here, I went out on a Saturday night with a friend and utterly underestimated the strength of Glühwein, resulting in a two-day hangover.
The balloon wall was majestic and the videos playing at the Brandenburg Gate made me feel so privileged to live in this complex city.
Berlin is amazing and though I know I wander through it daily unappreciative of it's rich culture and history, I do love being swept off my feet by it every now and then - realising just how blessed I am to be right here, right now.
I love you Berlin, I wish I didn't have to work so much and could just soak you up all day/night.
